Andy Alsop, President and CEO of The Receptionist is back on the podcast to talk about a topic that he’s passionate about, and one that has been a game-changer for us. We’re digging into the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) and specifically, the concept of Traction.

What is EOS and Traction?

Gino Wickman’s Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) gives companies a common language; like computers have an operating system, so should companies. EOS has 6 main components, and the concept of traction has been critical for us. The Virtual Traction Organizer (VTO) helps to get everyone on on the same page, and since we’ve implemented it, we’ve been amazed by the results. Not only are we all focused on the same things, but everyday decisions become easier because we can efficiently determine what’s in line with our vision and values and what isn’t.

The impact of traction

Andy was surprised by how impactful traction has been for our company. Once we took the time to get clear on our core values, those have impacted everything we’ve done, big picture, and day-to-day. Traction has helped us hire the right people, be focused in our work, and keep us all on the right track! We don’t know where we’d be without traction (well, we can guess, and it’s not pretty!).
